A new member of Ohio's Department of Education and Workforce joined OACTS members at the recent 2024 Summer Conference held at Hocking Hills State Park.
Varner was recently appointed as the new deputy director leading the Division of Career-Technical Education and Workforce, and visited with attendees of the conference on Tuesday, June 18.
Varner joins the Department from the Iowa Department of Education, where he served as administrator of the Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Preparation.
OACTS attendees gathered at Hocking Hills for their annual summer conference. Sessions covered subjects such as artificial intelligence, state funding models and communication best practices.
