About OACTS

The Ohio Association of Career-Technical Superintendents (OACTS) fosters collaboration among Ohio’s Career Center/Joint Vocational School Superintendents to share best practices and to advance career-technical education in Ohio.

Ohio Career Centers

Ohio offers many career-technical options that prepare students for successful careers by giving them the skills, knowledge and competencies needed for a successful future. This includes Ohio’s 49 Career Centers whose superintendents make up the membership of OACTS.

Ohio Technical Centers

The Ohio Technical Centers (OTCs) are a division of OACTS. These 49 adult learning centers provide educational programs and customized training specific to local needs, improving the job skills and professional competencies of Ohio’s workforce.

Advocacy

OACTS communicates and works with legislators throughout Ohio to foster an understanding of how career-technical and adult education impacts the lives of students and contributes to the workforce of Ohio by supplying skilled workers to help grow Ohio’s economy.

Professional Development

Throughout the year, OACTS offers professional development opportunities for our members, including Issues Forums, Summer Conference, New and Aspiring Superintendents Academy. In addition, we also host the Annual CTE Legislative Seminar in partnership with the Ohio Association of Career-Technical Education.
