Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted spent time in September visiting several Ohio career and technical centers as part of the Next Generation Jobs tour that spans the state.
Husted visited Eastland-Fairfield Superintendent and held a roundtable discussion with more than a dozen superintendents or administrative leaders from career-technical organizations across central Ohio. The discussion centered on successes and challenges for career-technical education, including recent enrollment growth in nearly every district. Other topics included the progress of the Innovative Workforce Incentive Program and the status of College Credit Plus (CCP) courses.
DeWine paid a visit to the Warren County Career Center on Sept. 12 and met with students from the criminal justice and engineering and robotics programs.
